This was a very cool tournament , I was able to fish with my 2 boys Ethan and Noah. Each Team had to have one Adult angler and 2 youths(under17). So my boys were Ready to go as I woke them up at 4 a.m. We loaded the boat and off to Lake Scugog .Blast off was at 8 o’clock and ending at 3 p.m. So its a long day for a 6 and 8 year old ….but not my boys they fished really hard all day taking a few minute for breaks and lunch(wonder who’s kids they are?haha) .I was so proud of my boys, each catching some great fish and upgrading us throughout the day….With a hour left to go Noah feels a good bite He set the hook!!! and reels in a nice walleye for another big upgrade!!! We landed a small muskie, bass, perch, crappie and walleye in one day.With about 60 boats in the field for the tournament We waited our turn for the weigh in as we were almost last to weight in…..With prizes to tenth place We managed a 10th place finish !!! With a great field particpatiting in the tournament.Gotta Thank my boys again and again as they made me very proud!!

Walleye Lake Scugog

I picked up Warren Cohen and his Father who was in from Pensylvania early this morning for a day on Scugog.Warren’s Dad is an avid fisherman and has fished many areas of the world. So my plan was to catch as many fish possible in one morning. We were using many different lures at first to find the ones the fish wanted that day, not long after we landed a few Crappie ,Perch and Walleye. We also got this small muskie on ultra light tackle it was quickly put back for another day!! nice weather and decent fishing!!!

My charter for the morning was with Mike And his wife B.J.
Our original plan was to target Simcoe pike, but a cold front rolled in with high winds overnight and I knew the pike would shut down. So plan B ..whitefish !!We motored to the zone and started to hook up shortly after the bite was mostly on spoons near the bottom. B.J. hooked something very big as her line started to peel out drag pretty quickly. After a good fight she brought a huge Lake Trout boat side to have the hooks pull out just as we saw the Trout. Still a great fight and she is still swimming!!We limited out on whitefish and called it a day.

Ed With a nice Chinook Salmon
Today I Was out with Ed Barbossa .We were targeting the Spring Salmon and rainbows . The Morning went really well going 9 for 13 for the morning landing some fish in the 20 lbs range and one nice rainbow Trout. The fish were in shallow chasing bait balls in the 60 -100 ft area making the ride to the fishing grounds less than a few minutes away.

Today I was fishing with fishing buddy Arnaldo for more Spring salmon … We were Trolling with a 4 rod spread..lead core , dipsy’s and riggers. All rods fired off through out the day

Well the Lake Ontario Chinook Salmon are biting really good. our fishing trip was out of St Catharines, close to where the Niagara River feeds into Lake Ontario. The salmon are chasing bait fish in the shallower water . Here a picture of one of many that day.
