Got a call from a good fellow fisherman to meet him in Georgian Bay for some spring trolling for rainbows…an offer I couldn’t resist..so I packed some gear and hit the road to meet Ken. The day looked perfect calm winds blowing inshore , overcast, and a steady weather pattern for the past few day…. Once in the water the scenery was amazing with the ski hills just in the backround and I’m fishing!! Not to long after we started Ken’s rod goes off with a nice 4 lbs rainbow trout ..then mine goes off with a nice 6 lber . These fish looked very clean and healthy. We finished the day with a few more…The water clarity, scenery, and great fishing always makes Georgian bay a favorite of mine !!!

Brandon with one of many Drum
carp on 6lbs test
We started the day on Lake Ontario with Arnaldo and Brandon, seaching for some more Brown trout. We trolled for a few hours working the temp. breaks and switching lures to trigger a bite. With no marks on the sonar the browns moved out…so we packed the trolling rods and headed to some new water. At the new spot we were casting minnows and plastics ,within the first minute fish on!! A hard pulling Fresh water drum(sheepshead) 7 lbs . Over the next couple of hours we pulled 15 Drum and one nice carp that gave us a run on 6 lbs test. Although the targeted species(brown trout) had lockjaw , we managed to catch some hard pulling fish.
